Volevo rendere questa libreria il più sottile e leggera possibile. Per questo motivo ho provato a ribaltare il ruolo che di solito hanno il legno e il ferro: l’abete è diventato struttura mentre la lamiera è diventata piano di appoggio.

Sfruttando la geometria del legno e la nervatura del ferro piegato ho cercato di ridurre al minimo i verticali strutturali per farli quasi scomparire tra i libri. Con la stessa logica ho realizzato anche il tavolo sospeso sottostante. Il risultato è questa libreria colma di libri per una casa in cui vivono curiosità e cultura.

Bookcase | Private Apartment

I wanted to make this bookcase as thin and light as possible. For this reason I tried to overturn the role that wood and iron usually have: the fir tree has become a structure while the metal plate has become a support surface.

Taking advantage of the geometry of the wood and the rib of the bent iron, I tried to minimize the vertical structural to make them almost disappear among the books. With the same logic I also created the suspended table below. The result is this library full of books for a house where curiosity and culture live.
