L’iniziativa 100 Sedie per una piazza è stata realizzata durante il festival Liquidazioni artistiche a Fornovo nel luglio 2012. L’obiettivo era quello di rafforzare il carattere di luogo di incontro di Piazza 4 Novembre attraverso piccoli interventi in grado di interagire con i visitatori e i vari eventi della manifestazione.

Da qui nacque l’idea di riempire il sito con una grande quantità di sedute movibili. Portare cento sedie tutte diverse e permettere ad ogni visitatore di sceglierne una, spostarla e portarla dove voleva, oppure decorarla e aggiustarla come preferiva. Tutto questo per interagire con lo spazio in un modo differente, più diretto ed efficace. Ogni sedia, inoltre, è stata realizzata recuperando materiali e oggetti dall’isola ecologica di Fornovo e si è fatta portatrice di una filosofia contraria all’usa e getta a cui siamo abituati.

The 100 Chairs for a Square initiative was held during the Artistic Liquidations festival in Fornovo in July 2012. The aim was to strengthen the character of 4 Novembre Square’s meeting place through small interventions, able to interact with visitors and the various episodes of the event.

Hence the idea of ​​filling the site with a large number of movable chairs. To bring a hundred different chairs in that space and allow each visitor to choose one, move it and take it where it wanted or decorate it and adjust it as he preferred. All this to interact with the space in a different way, more direct and effective way. Furthermore, each chair has been made with recovering materials and objects from the recycling area of Fornovo, and has become the symbol of a philosophy contrary to the disposable to which we are accustomed.
